Post subject: | Full Traction suspension for TJ? |
Is anybody running Full Traction 3 inch kits on their TJ? Its time to do some changes on the jeep and FT seems to have the best deal going right now, especially with the buy 3 get 1 free rancho shocks. This is a debate for us b/w Full Traction and OME lifts.....if anybody has run either please let us know what you think, like, dislike, etc Thanks! |

I run the FT 3" lift. Total lift was almost 4" of suspension and then I have a 1.25" BL on there as well so the lift came out to almost 5.5" total before ne tires ![]() FT is a GREAT LIFT for the money. Pretty complete kit and the adj. front tractbar is a sweet deal for a kit this cost. DO NOT get any other shocks though except the FT Monotubes, these are so nice and very flexible...they aint too soft but aint too stiff either. Quality of FT is amazing and the springs are SUPER heavy duty compared to OME and the stock springs. OME is a nice ridin kit and is a good flexin kit, but you get much less net lift for much more money than FT. Another good thing about FT is that it is based outta Bakersfield (where I'm at) so support Bakersfield business ![]() ![]() |

Hey, I did talk to Dave. Seems like a great guy. I'm going to get a FT 3" for the LJ as soon as the Frankenlift is sold. |

When I installed the RE 3.5, I had to go SYE and new DS right away because of horrible vibes at 10 mph and above. Just goes to show that every Jeep is different, so you may want to budget that into your costs... |

Hey moose if your LJ is a Rubicon model then you wont need the SYE, just the CV...btw the LJs have a longer rear DS so the same lift that may give a TJ DS vibes may not on the LJ...just food for though ![]() |

I never did post our update, but we ended up going with TeraFlex 3 inch lift with OME shocks. After a PITA install due to some siezed up lug nuts....all is well in our TJ world again. Ride is GREAT, we tried it offroad last weekend and even with only having a hundred or so miles on it, it did outstandingly well. Pics posted in the Carolinas LOST section under the June 9th thread. Kind of an off the wall decision, but we couldnt be more pleased with its performance on and off road. |
