Post subject:  Rusty's Skids - with edits
Just got the Rusty's Engine-Tranny and radiator skid plates on. I'll try to get picts tomorrow. The Radiator one was both inexpensive and easy. Not sure I'll need it, but it's there. Engine-Tranny skid was a little more difficult, but still on the easy end of the spectrum. Fairly beefy. It adds a crossmember by the oil pan, but doesn't use the bolt holes from the OEM auto tranny skid crossmember (Anyone need the OEM tranny skid?) - Think I might have to Fab a crossmember eventually, then it would be ideal.

EDIT - The design of this skid is idea for having your exhaust hit the skid cross member. This will drive you mad, MAD I TELL YOU !!!! HAHAHAHA!!! ok, it is rather annoying. OK so solid - yes; well thought out - no. I think I'm going to look at a different skid though. Can't say I'd recomend the oil pan skid (the other two are fine though)

OK, with the OME lift and the Disconnects on, I have notice, due to a lack of paint on the skid, that the U-joint just behing the front diff hits the side of this skd. I'm done with this skid and will go to an Nth degree as soon as I can afford it...

just a note dont bother with the warn skid either it will rub on it
also if you get the Nth* skid just go all out get the Tummy Tucker and the tranny skid for your ride it is worth every dime
even though it will cost over $1k
I have it and love it
TT + 3" of lift = 5" of lift at skid plate
that means 3" of lift + stock 30's is > 3" of lift + 33's with no TT
at skid plate

note
3" of lift = +3" of ride hight
33" tires = +1.5" of ride hight
TT= +2" at skid plate

on my ride I run
3" of lift a TT and 31" tall LTB's ,wich are a true 31"
MOST 33's = 32.5" wich is only 1.5" od more or .75 more ride hight
My point is that with 3" of lift and a TT with 31-32's you dont need to regear like you will with 33's but can run the same trils with an even better break over than most who dont run the TT

I just put the Nth degree oil pan skid on a couple of weeks ago. Real easy install and it doesn't get in the way of anything. 4 bolts, it's on. Price is right at 155.

After fooling around with Superskids in various application this one makes a lot of sense. Nice product.
