I did this mod and here are the results. Looks like a factory installed item. Handles are $6.50 each and can be ordered here. When I ordered, shipping was free. I removed two bolts that hold the sound bar to the roll bar, forced a hole through the strap about 1/2" in from the end, put the bolt through, added a washer on top and reattached. 12 year old boy tested and approved for strength.
