Bigger, heavier engine pushing bigger, heavier tires...I was prepared to see 3-5 mpg less than the 16-17mpg I was getting in the Liberty. Well ain't I a happy boy...After a week of around-town driving I managed to get 225 miles out of 14 gallons of fuel. That's a hair over 16mpg!!

Yee-frickin'-HAW!! :P :P :P

Yeah, I'm gettng about the same. I think the Borla has a lot to do with it. I have 135,000 on the motor and it still moves out.

It aint uncommon for the straight 6 to get over 250K. Got a couple people I know, one with a wrangler one with a XJ and both are over 200K and still going strong, that engine is a TANK!! 8)

I had a '92 YJ for 11 years, got rid of it with about 350K. Only work on the engine had been lifters at 112K. Had a K&N filter, Borla header & cat-back, Random Technologies cat, OME suspension, BFG 31" ATs on ARE Bajas and wider flares. Around town I consistantly got 16-18 mpg, on the highway 20 to 22. Lots better than my '06 Rubi LJ....
