Beat to death...try lookin over on ROF or JU.

When I was running 33s I used a 3" Full Traction lift. Worked real good, was real cheap, and gave me no issues. I wheeled it hard for a long time before I went up...OME also makes a 2.5" lift that is very popular when run with a JKS 1.25" BL for 33s. Both lifts require no need for a new DS in the rear and no need for a rear adj track bar.

Vern,

When I was running that jeep this what I did and I ran 33's Fine.

I installed a tummy tuck which required that I put a 1" body lift and Engine Mount.

Then I put in 2" puck Spacers in the suspention.

This allowed me to clear 33's fine.

Its a cheaper way until you are ready to go full long arm on your beast :).

This doesn't seem to work for Regular wheel base TJ's but the TJ (L) has the lenght and hight to get it done :)

My suggestions are:
check out
www.rubiconownersforum.com they have great information on what you are wanting to do and is where I got my info :)

Thanks,
Daniel

Old Man Emu 2.5 with a 1.25 JKS body lift. Mine clears 33s beautifully, and rides and flexes out nicely.

In fact not very long ago, we were out there. And I had a bug to do some different things. And after an in depth conversation with Quinn, I left there with everything I had (no changes) its ALL WORKS!!!!! 8) ALL J's ROCKS!!!!! 8)

I've called All J but have not heard back from them. They're busy folks and hard to get ahold of sometimes. I'll have to try again

Spend some time educating yourself before diving in. I had my build planned out for the Rubi probably a year before I even bought it. Things I knew for sure, I wanted the Jeep well protected. I wanted the tummy tucked and I wanted to go with 33's but be able to fit 35's if the time came. I didn't want a long arm (personal opinion again) and I wanted to keep it fairly stock past that. I wanted it to be road friendly as I wanted to drive it to the trails not tow it. I finished my build after about 7 months of owning it and it has basicly stayed the same since. I have owned it now for about three years. I still haven't found the need to go to 35's but then again I have a TJ which is a little different in wheeling capabilities verses ride height because of break over angles. I talked with people out on the trail about their set ups, road in a lot of Jeeps with many differing set ups. I made my list and I have not regretted one mod I did nor would I have done anything different. Research is your friend. Make your own opinions on how to go about things, ask people what has worked for them and what they regretted doing. It will really pay off for you.

2" is the minimum, unless you wish to get out the ol sawzall. with 2" of lift and 33's you will need around 3" of bump-stops. with that combo the tires will tuck in to the flares quite nicely, and wont mess up your fenders.

The Full traction 3" or OME 2.5" kits are great also, it will just depend on how much money you are willing to spend and what you plan on doing with the jeep.
