I've read on other forums on how to replace the speedo gear, but I found conflicting views on whether or not to remove the wire harness before pulling out the old gear. Has anyone here replaced their own gear that can give me some pointers before I mess with mine. I'm finally putting in the (hopefully) correct gear for my 35's and 4.56 gear combo- a 37 tooth speedo gear.

This guy pulled the harness before removing the gear.
