Found out today that our project 87 YJ appears to be missing a breather on the trans... It's just a hole. (I have not seen it for myself).

Does this sound right?

if it is the auto ,TF999 I think but may be 909 I know that CJ's got the 904
any way the auto does not have a breather it just has a hole into the bell housing
I found a wright up on how to make one but it requires removing the tranny and drilling a hole
IMO not worth the trouble ,just dont drive into water that comes in the doors and you should be fine
