I don’t want to pay $24 for two pieces of rubber. So other than buying extended bumps stops for your Jeep Wrangler's rear suspension what else have you used?

Hockey pucks. $24.00 isn't bad, you won't be saving a ton of money by going a different route here.........................

Hockey pucks on a Jeep Wrangler (I’ll edit my original post just in case). I've never heard of it. Would they go in the same spot as our KJ?

Yes same spot on the rear. Inside the rear spring.

You can stack them up the get the bumpstoping you need. Drill a hole through them and dwon into the spring prech. Bolt them in. Most kits come with a self tapping bolt, you will have to get one of those as well. By the time you buy everything you may end up spending $30.00...............................

Hockey pucks are pretty cheap. About 99 cents each. They are 1" tall. You need one hockey puck for each 1-inch of lift. Drill a hole in the spring perch, get a bolt and nut and tighten it down. Don't see how it could cost $30 for that. I've even heard some people on here glue it together. Don't know how thats holding up.

Someone took a rubber hammer and cut the head in half for bumpstops (not me, I just remember laughing)

first the spacer can be done several ways
I found a piece of VERY thick wall pipe on a job ,about a 5/8" id and 1" od
cut it to length got some longer bolts from home depot and presto ,more on the longer bolts
you could do the same thing with some washers ,a good stack will only cost you a few bucks and the afore mentioned bolts

now the TJ bump stops can easily be removed
1) pull out the rubber
2) find the correct tool to remove the bolt that holds the little cup on that the rubber came out of ,I can not remember what it is probably because I have not done it in 4 years
3) remove bolt and cup
4) take bolt and know length of bump stop extension to home depot ,say 1"
5) get a matching bolt that is 1" longer and a stack of washers that fit over bolt that is 2" high + some extra
now the sell what is called fender washers you want these as they have a much larger od than regular old flat washers
go home and reinstall

notes
you will need to remove the springs ,very easy if you remove the shocks ,bolt on the axle end, and track bar
use some blue lock tight on the new bolt DO NOT USE RED , a lock washer can not be used IIRC

you can PM me if you need more info and I can help
I may have some of my home mad 1" bump stops in the shed that I will send you
pm me if you want them ,my treat

correction
the ones I have are 1 7/8 od
same 1" thick and 5/8 hole
cut from SS pipe
