What are the other two vehicles? I was thinking that you'll be done with your JK one of these days and will need another vehicle to work on. It's an addiction........

The other two are an 05 F150 SCREW FX4 and a 01 Suzuki TL1000R.

Haven't even started in the fFord (wifes). The bike is about half done I've still got about 10 grand to put into the JK. And then finish the Libby. Far from done.

Been awhile, so I thought I would throw up a quick pic of the JK with the 38's on it.

Any pics of the super charger? How much difference did it make to the anemic 3.8? What boost are you running?

I must admit Im jealous as I wanted a JK 4 door but they were too expensive when I bought the KJ and hard to find as well. Hoping to buy one in a few years as the KJ will be paid off here within a few months. :JEEPIN:

No pics, I can snap some later today if you want to see some.

Honestly there's not much difference in the power unless it's floored. With the 5.13's, the Jeep moves around just fine even on 38's. The issue with the JK isn't a lack of power it's weight! As for the Supercharger, IMHO it's the one purchase that I regret. Not impressed with the SC or Ripp, I'm on my third black box, second blower, second set of idler pulleys, and second belt. And the SC hasn't even been in a year yet... Should have gotten an Avenger blower instead. Oh well, working on the 4BT conversion kit now, so hopefully all those issues will be gone soon.

Thats unfortunate. Not familiar with a 4BT conversion, but Im assuming its a diesel swap? Either way its a nice JK and Im jealous. I want one VERY much not only for the extra room but the possibility or topless fun in the sun (although Id have a hard top).

How does it drive compared to the KJ? I hear its a night and day difference and its been a LOONG time since I drove a wrangler and have forgotten.

Yes a Diesel Conversion to the the 3.9l Cummings 4BT engine.

Thanks for the compliments.

Driving. Each Jeep is different. I'll get into the KJ and think "Man I missed this Jeep" a few days later I'll switch to the JK and think "Man I missed this Jeep".. Having owned a CJ-7, YJ, and TJ I'll say the JK is much better in every aspect from prior wranglers.

Well I think this is off the table. The company I was working with who were billing the kit as "cheaper than a hemi swap" want more tha twice as much. So now I'm back to hemi or SBC. Price is nearly the same. 13k with labor for a SBC or MDS hemi, 14k for the new VVT hemi. Hemi gets the nod in HP, torque, and integration with the CANBUS. Chevy has the upper hand with weight, and future upgradability (though I'm not sure how much I want to compromise mpg for power, even down the line, so this doesn't mean that much to me). MPG is better with the VVT, same withe the MDS hemi & SBC.

Either of the engines will get me more usable power, and more importantly torque than the 3.8. Milage will be up abou 4 or 5 mpg's. May not sound like a lot but since I'm getting 15 on a good day 18-20 sounds GREAT! And most of all I can ditch this POS supercharger. Can't wait for that day.

Really wanted the smoker but at 24+ for the DIY, and nearly 28 grand if the shop does it... Hell no.

Fittin-ta' do a few projects on the JK over the next few days.

I'll be bed lining the tub, bumpers and armor. For a while my Steel Blue has been sporting a dark silver rattle bomb on the bumpers and sliders. Gotten a little sick of it and thought that while I have it tore apart for the bedliner, give the armor a new color while I was at it...

Contemplating sliders, front and rear bumpers, corner armor, and the mesh on the AEV hood. Shot a quick coat on the corners for a quick preview. Was hoping for more a FDE color and it turned out a bit lighter than that.

So Black:

or Tan:

If I go tan, I think I'll shoot the rock rings also, and the wheels themselves black.

Opine away please.

Well the Wifey didn't like tan... Actually that is a bit kind for the way she expressed it. So black it was.

Still have to finish the rear bumper, mount and mount the seats. But it's pretty much done.

Behold! I quit. Still have two rock rings to do, and the snorkel to repaint, but those are small projects and can be done within the next week.

Nice Job! There's a lot of detail that's gone into that Jeep. I would have liked the tan better, but that looks sweet! The entire rig is awesome!
