not really comes with dana 30 front and dana 35 rear. too bad it doesn't have the 5 speed nv4500. great looking jeep though. but 13k is too high even with low mileage. maybe 9 to 11k i would offer. it's not a rubicon you know, which would make it that price or more

To quote the dealer that Tom talked to though "...but it has a nice lift and off road tires". :) I agree that 13K is a little steep. For comparison, I bought my '05 Wrangler (manual tranny, 4 cylinder, 83,000 miles) for $7,000 in February. I know prices differ from region to region, but even given that and the 6 cyl with lower miles it still wouldn't warrant twice the price of what I paid for mine.

yep most dealers try getting money out of the any mod you have on it ha ha. but ya i say 9k for it tops

Price does seem high in this current market.

I vote for 10-10.5K. But no way 14K. I got 12 something for mine.

Off road, screw that 5 speed stuff. I like the idea of pointing and going that way.

On road. Love the 5 speed. even in traffic.

thanks for the opinion guys - gonna offer them 9.5k and
see how far i get - agree on the 5 speed as well, the kj
was an auto and i loved it off road.

jj love the avatar man.. :D

me personally love having the ability to shift gears and select what i crawl in and also not having torque converter slippage. i drive a 6 speed manual rubicon, and well only drive a manual off road

ive never driven serious offroad with a
stick. seems to me that it really beats
the crap out of the clutch. remember
wheelin with a guy on here who had a
manual kj - sounded pretty bad when
he was trying to feather the throttle.

im still gonna go offer up on the jeep.
keep your fingers crossed

ohh not really. if your good at feathering the clutch and use ur crawl ratio to your advantage it works great.. not intended to get you not to bid. i was just saying my personal preference

4:10 gears, and that 1st gear is low. 1st gear, lockers on, yeah that's a point and go.

3:85 or 3:35 (don't remember exactly) on a 5 speed on an X w/o lockers. Maybe a limited slip... That clutch gets hot fast.

yes it is kinda point in go but with larger tires and no regear yet you can still kill it. you feather the clutch still trust me bro.

You might check to see if the vehicle has been repainted - there is no Jeep or X stickers on the side.
Usually repainting a new vehicle might mean it has been wrecked.

Off road the only good thing about a stick is they are fun to watch, glad it's
not my Jeep.

We need to do a Cleghorn run soon.

jeep hasnt been painted, carfax comes back clean.
you can see where someone removed the decals.

so .... i offered them $9.5k, they said no, then offered
$11.5k out the door and that didnt go over either.

so no jeep YET.

They seriously think there gonna get more than 10k for that jeep. Their out of their minds. I have rubicons here for sale where i live to 10k out the door.

Author:  elephantrider [ Wed Apr 15, 2009 10:21 pm ]
Post subject:

yep i honestly though they would
jump on the $11.5k for sure.

no offense i would keep looking then. tons other nice jeeps out there for under 10k. just keep looking

Post subject:  STILL LOOKING

well, i called the dealership one more time to offer $11k for that silver jeep,
but still no dice. i guess they would rather have it sit on the lot than sell
it.

so.... im going tomorrow to take a look at this one. anyone have any insight ?
is it work $10k ? i was going to offer $9k cash and see if the party will
take it .
