Thought I'd post it up... the gf just bought a new Rubi JK. Just got it dirty for the first time in Ouray yesterday. Anyways, here it is (complete with pink accessories  )

Nice mud accents. Congrats to your GF.
Now send her over to www.jkowners.com

Very nice--black would have been my second choice, if I didn't live in the desert, with the possibility of moving back to AZ some day.

I just sprung for the TeraFlex 2 1/2" coil lift with shock extenders. Hopefully it will give me the right balance between cost and function.

That is just beautiful. I test drove a JK Unlimited Rubi the other week with my wife and she LOVED it! Maybe if I show her picts of your GFs with the pink accents, we'll get one.

So, did your GF get it muddy, or did you?

GF got it muddy all on her own... she panicked in a few spots but I refused to take the wheel and made her drive through the tricky parts

Her first wrenching project on the new rig just concluded... I'll post up pics when I can.

So she's in the market for a mild lift for this thing... what should we be looking at? Cost=the lower the better (but no crap  )

Ben, what size tires is she looking at wanting to run?

33's - Level lift for the front about $150, or trim the fenders.
35's - Need a 2.5-3" lift, most BB 2.5's will clear 35's about $250, or full suspension for about $450 (Teraflex is a great kit), OME (what I run) is excellent of course and will run you about $850 with the Front trackbar and rear bracket (Need these for a 2.5+ left). OR a leveling lift and trimmed fenders.
37's - 4.5" Lift, or OME and trimmed fenders.

I'll pushing 37's by the end of the year on mine. With 35's, on the OME and fender mod, I have over 12" in the fender well now.

Easy to install and easy on the pocket Rough Country 1 3/4" Leveling Kit for $125 and you can fit 33s. Replacement shocks are optional. I'm still running stock shocks and 32s. Pretty mild as far as lifts go and doesn't throw the rest of the suspension or steering out of whack.

I think she wants to be running 35's. That teraflex kit seems like something to look into.... is this the one you're talking about? http://www.quadratec.com/products/16190_0008.htm

Looks like a good deal... hmmmm

Yep, that's the kit... IIRC Dave from Northridge4x4(.com) has a better price, and free shipping. Check him out.

What do you two think of the v6? Most people I've spoken to do not like it. Is it the same as our kj's 3.7l ? Also, that sure is a nice lookin' jeep.
