I purchased a 94 YJ with a 4.0L and Automatic trans alittle over a month ago. I have watched the oil pressure gauge since I purchased this and the idle pressure is usually right at 30psi and at normal driving conditions I am usually at 60 psi. Within the last week or so, I have seen that the pressure at idle ranges from 30-40psi and sometimes does not come down from the 60psi...along with normal driving conditions only going up to 50psi. Has anyone had a similar issue or know/think of what this might be? |

Replace the sending unit. Sometimes they get gunked up w/ a new oil cleaning up the nastys and cause fluctuations....or they just go bad. At least is sounds like it is making good pressure. |
