Looking for advice on an 05 LJ.

see here: http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/ctd/1284623880.html

I keep seeing posts about how cheap TJ's can be had but this is as cheap as I have seen around here for an LJ. What should I really offer?

What are they asking? It looks like it was well taken care of. Go to Edmonds.com. I've seen a 06 Rubicon LJ with about 30000 miles and a hard top for about 18000$. I should have got it but I still want a jk rubicon. You should check out new ones the are cheeper than some used ones I've seen! :P

Sticker is at 15.8k seems to be about the norm for the Unlimited from what I have seen.

Wow, how much more expensive than KJ's were they new? Either a lot or they resale for a much higher value.

my 05 kj renegade was 9k in january with 42,000 mi and sometimes I think that was a little more than it had to be.

If I was in the 15+ market I'd be working on a new one and finding a "clunker" to exchange...

05 limited KJ's with low miles are running 13k-14k around here. Those 2004-2006 Unlimited Wranglers are a rare breed too so that might be another reason for their resale prices.

All wranglers hold their value great and like you said LJ's are going to be a tough find. Most people who have them and know what they are, are going to start keeping them. If you could get it for 14 or 145 that would be a good deal. Then take out that D30 and put in a D44 and your set.

we paid $11.5 for our 05 lj around mothers day.
it was a mothers day present from me to the
wife.

thought we got a hella deal on it. the kicker was
that it was sitting on the lot since january, no
one had bought it yet, thankfully.

Rider I'm dizzy I just noticed you name from your rockrail post, looks good LJ's just look good lifted, look a little funny stock. Do you still have D30 in front and what gear are you still running before 4.56 swap. Drybones look what you can look forward to.

had it checked out by a Jeeper mechanic, all is well except a leaky power steering pressure line which the dealer will be fixing before he gets my cash. Wife gave the go ahead so now it's just finding a number the we and the dealer can live with. Hopefully it will be in the driveway on Saturday!

d30 in front d44 in back - it has 3/73's in it now. its not TOO bad
but once the corner guards are added it may be a little much.

a brick with a tent tied to its arse isnt gonna be the fastest vehicle
on the bock anyway LOL
