Sorry folks, it didn't happen. Yes Digger it was Rescue Green. No Steve, if I was looking at a Camaro, I wouldn't have posted on this forum. Anyway, this Wrangler Rubicon has been sitting on a dealer lot for at least 4 months and I really liked it. So I went back to see if they would deal with me. The dealer wants $25,900. I offered $24,500 out the door, as in tax, title, blah blah blah - bottom line. Option 1 for me didn't include trading in the KJ. Option 2 did. When I suggested option 2, they basically insulted me regarding trade-in.


I went as far as acknowledging the fact that the vehicle has been sitting on their lot for months - that it is a 2008, and is not offered with a warranty (Chevy dealer, not Chrysler) - which is why most people are walking away from the vehicle. They wouldn't admit I was right. Meanwhile, a friend who was with me suggested I buy new, not to mention a Jeep delaer would offer a better trade-in deal. My friend is cocky and enjoys letting car salesmen know it.

So, screw 'em. I might just look at new or maybe I will search for a CJ project.

Yeah, IF you want a JK, I would either buy it new or find a used one.... Buy a nice CJ might be fun to build :P
