hard tops are lame anyways on wranglers, they heat up quick and the little corner tabs are no big deal, they are rubber and most take them off anyways...plus you would be getting a new bumper and handing the old ones to me right :ALONE:

and Jerry, this is the Rubicon that I was looking at a few days ago up in Mundeline, they are way over priced especially since they would only give me $6,500 for the Liberty when they saw it they knew I wanted the Rubicon and said we will make this $9,500 and take the Liberty for $6,500...nope

but I am going to test drive this and offer them 13,500 for it since the millage is high

2006 Rubicon

Wait a minute?! Since when are you interested in a 2dr Rubi? That's a nice looking Jeep except for that roof rack assy. Do you like that roof rack? IMO that is without a doubt the freakin' ugliest thing I've ever seen.
(where's the puking smiley when you need one?)

And why would you want the oem bumpers from me (if I were to buy the Rubi I checked out) ?

Btw; Have you heard of this place? A1 Auto Corp They're always adding Wranglers to their inventory. From what I gather, they buy Jeeps from auctions and mod them in their shop. They also sell everything one needs to lift and modify a Wrangler.

Odd. This is the first you've mentioned a TJ Rubi. Go for it!

Yeah like I said, they're always adding Wranglers to the inventory. I would guess they've got a few more in the shop being modded at this time. You can always check the site. For me, they're close enough to drive by the lot. It was just a suggestion none the less.

Just curious... Why is it that you two are looking for a Rubi? Never wheeled IL, but I have at Attica, IN (Badlands), and there wasn't as spot that I saw where the 4:1 would have been better than 2.72:1...

In my case, I've decided to use my KJ as a daily driver and nothing else. I don't want to have to worry about breakage on a DD. I want a trail rig. Considered a ATV but decided I'd rather have Jeep for off road fun. The way I feel, what better than a Rubi.

Well I did it. Bought that silver 2004 Rubi. Let the mods begin!

(oh yeah, I used the KJ for a trade-in).

congrats on your new buy oddball!

if it's a straight drive upgrade the clutch to a dual friction centerforce, makes an astounding difference in clutch control

While I was at a GMC dealership yesterday, I also checked out the new 2010 Canyon Crew Cab SLT. The two colors I liked best were silver & white. In the spring I am going back to buy one.

I like the Canyon better. Matter of fact, as a guy who had a 2001 Silverado 4x4 ext cab stepside, if I was going to go back to full size, I'd buy a GMC instead of the Chevy.

I'm ending this and starting a photo build of the Rubi here in the Wrangler section.
