Has any body with a TJ or JK ever broke a sway bar link?? I broke one yesterday while on the trail. I have a RE 2.0 coil spacer lift with RE monotube shocks. I didn't replace the stock sway bar links after getting the JK lifted. I didn't have the $$$ at the time for the JKS adjustable links I want. Leasson learned... do it right the first time when you get your Wrangler lifted. Be sure to budget for longer sway bar links. ![]() |

Yeah, ouch is right. No big deal tho, it looks worse than it is AND the dealer said they would fix it under warranty. All they have to do is straighten the bottom bracket and put on a new link. It pays to be humble (something that doesn't come easy to me) and be a good customer. Since I found out it's easy to straighten the bent bracket, I'm going ahead with my plan to take it to a 4x4 shop here in town tomorrow, have them straighten it and install the much beefier JKS quick disconnects. The Rubi's are nice, but too expensive for my pocket book. It's bad enough paying $21,000 for a Wrangler X much less $32,000 for the Rubi... at least for the medium rated trails I do. The JKS disconnects I'm getting.... ![]() Note: picture taken from Project-JK.com |

One of the very first mods I bought for my YJ was a set of BDS sway bar linkages, even before I bought my lift kit. What a Beavis I was ![]() You do need a front sway bar on a coil spring Jeep and BDS does make them; http://www.bds-suspension.com/products/acc_antisway.php |

Are you still running the shorty links in the rear? |

~ Thanks!! ~ No need to change anything in the rear end for a 2.0 coil spacer lift. |

i have a 09jk and 2 inch lift. heard clicking in front after mild off road trail. found right side sway bar was loose. only have about 3000 miles on it. but those disconnects will be on my things to do list. first i need the adjustable track bar to get rid of the bump stear. |

Sway bar disconnects are the the cheapest most effective mod for TJ's. . . period. |
