got a few more messages from rock krawler

first

I got this email, but have not recieved any other follow up emails since the first one.

It is hard for us to tell if you did anything wrong from the pictures I recieved. Like I said, we have not heard of anyone having any issues with the front driveshafts on any of the 3.5" kits. Maybe it could have been damaged during installation when the axle was sitting at full droop? Not exactly sure. Some of the forums would be a good reference for you.

Jeremy

second

Why is the front track bar not in the vehicle. Can you provide me with some spring measurements? Where did you get the kit from?

last one for the day

Why would you drive it without the front track bar? your front axle would be side shifted way too much which also puts further stress on the drive line.

I need solid numbers on the coil springs to ensure you have the right ones. Both Front and Rear. If 4WP shipped it out of inventory we know there is one kit out there that is wrong because we have already corrected the other one.

Jeremy

i have the track bar on the jeep. notice it was mentioned how i possibly messed up during install

well curt i drove it with the stock track bar on for a while.
my front driveshaft got messed up because they left out in the instructions that you have to take off the automatic transmission skid plate. he actually told me i should have read that on the forums instead of including it in the instructions.

nope. luckily a driveshaft place here in indy can replace the cv head on them now so i got that done for: $185. not too bad.
now my rear driveshaft (that RK says you shouldnt have to replace) is on the way out and going fast. i like everything about the lift except the A-Hole who made it and the customer service they provide

My dad's JK has that same dent on the driver's side. Which is the normal passenger side since his is a right hand drive.

It has never seen "off-road" duty even though it gets used hard.

I wondered how it go there. It was there when he bought it.

Kinda weird.

That dent is from the doors swinging open and hitting the cowl when the limiting strap is removed.
