I'm new to the Jeep world and thought I'd ask the content experts a couple questions.
First, I have a 83 CJ7 that I just recently bought. The rear end looks to be a narrow trac and the front is wide trac or at least the normal width. What is the purpose or advantage of this mismatch?
Second, I'm looking for a snorkle for the CJ with a carb'ed engine. Anyone know of an aftermarket or fab'ed one up?
Thanks for your support.

Thanks Callaway, seems like some good ideas. I see you have a '86 cj. In your opinion, which repair book is better for the cj's. Chilton's or Hayes?

I didn't like the Hayes book. The Chilton's has better wiring diagrams and is a little more indepth.
