My father in law had some hesitation in his TJ. He learned that it was hit TBS and we swapped it out. Several months later he decided to wash his engine compartment and ran a hose over it. Now he has the same issue and it is the same sensor. Does anyone else have this issue? I am guessing it is the TBS as it is the small sensor/motor that adjusts the throttle body. I thought it was a tad weird that it went out again but hardly work on the TJ platform. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Never heard of that before. I have an 06 that I spray the engine compartment with high pressure hoses at the car wash and never had a problem. Maybe its due to something else? No clue.

I am confused by it too. I figure if the part comes in this weekend I will swing by his place, kill a few beers and check it out. I like to tell him it is operator error :)
