Never started on here, figure I should so you all can see whats going on.

This is the day I brought it home.
Image

Two days after I went up to northern Georgia to River Rock offroad park to wheel it.
Image
Image
Image
Image
This is where I laid my shackle against the frame pushing the whole side of the axle back bending a leaf spring and denting the shock.
Image
Image

After that I went and tuned up everything
Then I put my winch on and replace the stock fogs with hella 500ffs
Image

Went and got stuck in some water.
Image
Which gave me this. Anyone want a strawberry milk shake?
Image
That led to me pulling the trans and a full rebuild
Image
Got high energy clutches and a shift kit. Also had the vent line re-routed to prevent this from happening again.
Did some wheelin
Image

Did some cosmetic mods as well.
Image

Picked up a set of 84 waggy axles to put in. d44 front amc20 rear. Going full width, regear, and lockers front and rear.
Image

And I just got back from Jeep Beach and found out out my trans doesn't like the highway for more than an hour so I got a auxiliary trans cooler I will be puttin in soon.

ran off the road by some guy driving half way on my side of the road. it was a two lane road. I swerved, next I remember I'm standing outside of it looking at it on its roof. guy just kept driving.

TJ flexes a LOT better than they YJ. Also, love these JKS quicker disco's. Disco the sway bar in like 2 minutes.

Cool. Some type of course? Would replace the center pin or at least check it close. Aussie will serve you well,I have had good luck with one.

Everything minus the spider gears and one thrust washer looked good. Luckily my buddy who helped me put it in had a spare good condition thrust washer he gave me.

After installing the aussie I can't tell a difference on road but with the couple small obstacles I've played on I can already notice a HUGE difference.

This culvert I could not climb up on in the YJ. The tire that wasn't touching the culvert would just spin and the one I had on the culvert didn't want to budge. After the aussie, it crawls right up it like it wasn't even there.

I am currently in the process if building an 8.8 to replace the weak d35. It has disc brakes and I am regearing front and rear to 4.56. To make the install of the 8.8 easier I am buying the 8.8 install/truss kit from Artec. I might put an Aussie in the rear or I might just wait and save up for an arb or ox locker.

interesting axle choice. what are you going to do in the front?

Leaving the 30 in for now and truss it. going to eventually put a selectable locker in and Chromo shafts. The 30 with Chromo shafts can handle 35s.

If you have any questions feel free to ask! I have become somewhat familiar with wrangler. Yjs and tjs aren't too terribly different and I've had experience with both. Lol

Got it a present.

Ford 8.8, 3.73's, disc brakes, and all old bracketry that is in the way has been removed already. Now to just put the brakes on, and order my Artec swap/truss kit then burn that on. Or, depending how I feel, I have a buddy with an old d35 and he said I can cut those brackets off and weld them on the 8.8. I'm going to run it with the 3.73s for a while and just pull the front DS until I can afford to regear front and rear.

It's getting there. Just need to put the other parking brake, rotor, and caliper on. Then I need to buy parking brake cable, hard brake lines, the truss kit and a few odds and ends. Getting close though!
Also, after I did some research I found out this axle has a factory limited slip! Score.
