$300 sounds a little pricey for it. I got my 8.8, 3.73 gears, disc brakes,31 spline, and factory limited slip for $100.
The non LSD 8.8s go for about $150 in yards around here.

UPDATE!
About a year ago I had a tire blow out on the jeep doing 60 down the high way. Swerved into a guard rail, and ended up flipping the jeep onto its side. Insurance would have totaled it so instead, I decided not to claim it and fix it myself. After about 8 months(including a 4 month break when I was laid off) I finally got it road worthy. I had to replace the whole front axle, steering, sway bar links, all 4 front control arms, transfer case, 2 rims and tires, and one of the hub assemblies. While it was down I finally got around to welding on the artec truss onto the 8.8 and bolting that in. Also got a really good deal on 4 almost new 35" bfg km2s. So now the jeep has 8.8 rear, currie steering, jks quick discos, and 4.56 gears. Also put my winch back on finally that I had on the old YJ. Still got body damage I need to figure out how to fix and make look ok enough til I get some corner armor to cover it up. Here is a link to the whole thread with pics and everything on jeepforum
