Yeah, I think you can gather by that, that pretty soon the Lib will no longer be in my garage, but the good news is: a new (to me) 2008 JK Sahara WILL be! :o If everything works out, financially that is. Any way, I was just wondering, since these Jeeps came standard with ABS, is there any way to safely disable it? I have driven vehicles with ABS in the past and I absolutely despise it! I think it's one of the worst "solutions" to bad driving ever conceived. That is the very first "mod" I would do to my Jeep. Thank you for your replies!

You can pull the ABS fuse and live with the christmas tree of lights on our dash. IMHO I've never had one complaint with the ABS in any of the 3 JK's we've owned. And as tire size and lift height have gone up, it and the ESP has saved my butt a few time.

congrats on the new jeep! Whats wrong with ABS? I have never owned a jeep with it however I have owned trucks with it. Frankly it only kicked in a few times during hard stops, like it should.. Other than that I never knew it was there...
