This is what I love about L.O.S.T., Ive been wnating to get a YJ or a TJ for my Fiance' , so Ive been on some other boards but yet have I found as much useful info as there is in the last 5 posts. I think you made a wise decision Steve getting the TJ. I have been looking at Troopers, XJs and YJs right now. We really need to go run her downt he rail grade to break her in.

If you're looking, I have a very nice TJ for sale :D

I've got a line of a dana 44 rubicon rear axle assembly....good condition with the disc brakes, brake lines, 4.10 gears on the factory locker....I'd need the low pressure air compressor and whatever else (switches, harness, etc) to make the locker function....

this deal appeals to me because it will be a direct swap and because of the rear brakes upgrade....and the gears are already set for the 33" tires I plan to run....I was probably thinking of a different rear locker originally but this might be okay.....I'd be happy if anybody out there wanted to comment on this idea....

imo I say go for it, it would be the fastest way to get to the point your looking to get to, and in the future you would still beable to get a different locker. Plus air supplies are cheap.

Steve,

I already emailed you about this Dana 44, but I think you will be very happy with the Rubicon rear. It's a limited slip when it's unlocked and a locker at the flip of a switch. We'll have to look at the wiring. I know that my Rubicon has a light on the dash that tells me when it's lock but I'm sure we can figure something out. I would order the factory pump for the locker. You wouldn't want to put to much air to the locker, it might mess it up. I think the factory pumps are under $50.

Wes
