Hey,
I was driving home from Big Bear, and the check engine light came on. P0122. Can someone translate this to English please.

P0122 (M) Throttle Position Sensor Voltage Low Throttle position sensor input below the acceptable voltage range.
P0122 (M) Accelerator Position Sensor (APPS) Signal Voltage Too Low APPS voltage input below the minimum acceptable voltage.

Have Gabe look at it when you get your brakes done.

Do you use a cold air intake that takes a oiled filter? I read this on another forum and can not verify if it is true or false. A guy having the same problem posted up that his tps had gotten a layer of dirt/filter oil built up on it over time causing the tps to malfunction and fail. He had to have it replaced and it was not warantied. Wrote that it was expensive too.
I can not verify true or false or even if that is possible. Just s stab in the dark. Several people have changed to a dry filter on thier intake system.
He was running the aem brute force intake. Same one i have and i have had no problems. Mine does not get cleaned and oiled often though. Where are the mythbusters when you need them?

interesting.......?????.... I do have some thoughts on that idea, but my battery in the laptop is about to go dead. I just cleaned and oiled the other day. Where is this sensor so I can clean it before it fails?

I haven't had to deal with the tps so i am not sure exactly where it is or if it can even be cleaned right. The post just sounded similar so i threw it out there. :)

out again. Starting to look like Christmas.

I had a long talk with Jeepie last night and told him, if he doesn't start behaving we are going back to Cleighorn. I don't think I'll have this problem any more.
