 Post subject: Jeep Commander...Flex pics???

Found these on another site...I know that a stock KJ wil stuff one tire and the other will almost get the whole rim below the body line. Seems like the Commander has very little flex. Not knockin the Commander but I was surprised by the limited flex.

Wow! No doubt. That's not much flex. That rear only dropped about 3-4 inches before the tire is floating. I wonder what the front flex is like?

Holy moley, it's like they glued the axle to the frame, I wonder if the suspention is that stiff?
but still it seems like there is good enough clearance there.

Yea... the XK needs some more flex, maybe a lift. My Wife loves hers, we wheel in it a lot. I has more clearance than my KJ, but the lift I'm getting soon shall take care of that. :)

The Commander comes with Anti Roll Bars, Same as the GC. These bars reduce flex for improved handling on the road. Can you take them off ...sure. What % of people take there rigs off road?...>20%...

Stock KJs comes with the same setup and definitely flex the rear axle much further.
