I know someone that is out beating the crap out of them in the AZ desert and he has reported that they do what they were designed to do fairly well. He says they are a blast to drive rally style.

In the 'Four Peaks Rd.' section, the first picture of the red Patriot dropping off a small ledge is where my avatar pic was taken, and the photo of the green Patriot is coming up that same obstacle. Been out that way a couple of times, thinking maybe it's time to go again 8)

LIBERTY
Approach Angle 34.6
Breakover Angle 21.2
Departure Angle 31.2
Ground Clearance 9.2
Turning Diameter 35.9
Wheelbase 104.2
Track - Front 60.0
Overall Height - With Roof Rails 71.6
Overall Width 71.8

PATRIOT
Approach Angle: 29
Break-over Angle: 23
Departure Angle: 33
Running Ground Clearance: 9"
Turning Circle: 35.6'
Wheelbase 103.7
Track Width 59.8
Height 64.4
Overall Width 69.1

No wonder it does so well, it nearly matches the dimensions of the liberty. Plus if you lift it you will get the bonus of added clearance under the rear diff as well. If its possible to make the low range lower this would be a fairly competent offroader. Although I dont think you could beat on it as hard as the liberty.

It is a testament to how well the ESP works when the patriot went through an area that required a Rubicon to use its rear locker. This little rig will make lots of people happy.

I have always liked the look of the Patty but I am still unsure how it will be recieved by the public as an offraod machine.

I like the looks of that black Patriot! It would look nice with a 2.5 lift, tires, a safari rack, some lights!
