Alright guys i have a 1500 silverado and i got a 4 inch suspension lift and its not as tall as i wanted. Would it be dumb to get a 2 inch body lift and keep 33s? I cant afford new tires right now so i was just wandering if it would be a dumb decision. Travis |

My opinion on body lifts is, only do it if you HAVE to. The frame hangs down wayyy to much, and the bumpers/nerf bars/steps will not match up. It looks cheap, well... mainly because it is cheap. If you do I wouldnt go more than 1". 1" probably wouldnt look too bad |

1" probably wouldnt look too bad well i dont think im going to waste the money to only get one more inch... im just really not very happy with the money put in and only getting it a little higher. i was overestimating the 4 inch lift. Travis |

Is the kit you bought a cradle drop kit? If so you can tighten the torsion bars a small amount and get it up a little more. In the rear is it blocks or new leaf springs? That would be the cheapest way of getting a lil more lift. Or you could just go for the body lift, but all that is going to allow you to do it run bigger tires. Its your call. |

i think im just going to keep it the way it is. i measured it compared to my cousins stock one and it is 5 inches higher with the tires. So im just going to forget about it and buy my exhaust, intake, and bull bar |

The newer body style like yours has the frame tucked up under it more than the older ones, say mine. I have a 3" body lift and with my running boards and extra gap guards, doesn't look that bad. A 2" body will most likely run you around 300 for the kit, only takes about a day to install if you so it yourself. I have considered adding another 2"s to mine using add a leaves and new TB keys. Since you just had the 4inch suspension lift, leave your keys alone, and do the body lift if wanted. |
