Where do you find these things? - long wheelbase Sami and a BJ?
(of course the diesel FJ was a swap - but you still had to find Toy parts)

Great find anyway.

HA! It wasnt a diesel FJ. It was a Canadian HJ-60 that I swapped a newer Toyota 1HZ 4.2 liter inline six in.

Lol. Canadian friends.....

Nice choice, it this the model with Coil springs or the one with Leaf Springs?
We used to get it here in mainland Europe with the VM 5 cly 2500, it i remember correctly it came with leaf springs the earlier models, then with coils.
Nice littel work mule.

Pip, the BJ-74's are leaf springs. The 1990 and newer HZJ-73's are coil springs. Most people couldnt tell the difference looking at them. The 73's had the 1HZ 4.2 liter six whereas the BJ-74 had the 3.4 liter four banger.

Joe,
it's a shame that model was never imported here in the UK no matter what kind of engine it had, personally I think it would have been a great sucess as it was in the rest of Europe (France, Germany & Italy). If found one in good nick I could be well tempted.
