we've never found a WJTB in "the wild", one logged one that was brought to a geocaching event that eventually went home with the guy who brought it.

in october, in las vegas, we came across our first yellow jeep TB in the wild. those were the jeep ones from last year. i believe jeep was having people collect them up this earlier this year since a lot were missing from caches and never moved on and they were getting ready to introduce the white ones.

we love travel bugs and love to help them reach their goals and take pictures and such. when we went to vegas we took two bugs that wanted to go there and took lots of photos of them all over vegas. it was a lot of fun.

I have a WJTB in my possession right now...was going to place it during the MA Fall Krawl a few weeks ago, but never had the time, so i'm just going to place it hopefully this weekend while down near pittsburgh...most of the time when i go looking for one, i get there and it's gone, but no one wrote that it was taken :(

What do you mean too many rules? Find one - move it - or complete the task if indicated :)

Each month you will be provided with three goals for the white Jeep 4x4 Travel Bugs. You can enter the contest by completing one of the three goals each month - by taking a photo with the Jeep 4x4 Travel Bug and the goal in the same photo. (If you do not find a Travel Bug see the note on the contest page.)

Then post the photos,
Then people vote on the photos,
Then 1 is selectected....
and so on and so on.............

The WJTB contest is now over, of couse. I've been driving one since acquiring it in a pre-release at the Great Basin (GBES) off road geocaching rally last April. It has about 17,000 miles on it, versus 23,000 on the '05 KJ. We've cached Death Valley, the Sierras, and Washington State. Here's the photo gallery: http://www.geocaching.com/track/gallery.aspx?ID=189261

Recognized alot of the photos from a trip we made. Starting in San Hose my wife and I went to Yosimite, Tahoe and the Castle Air Museum in November. You had some great shots from the Air Museum.
