My Nuvii 250 and 260w do a great job on the road but only a fair job off road. I've been looking at the Garmin 60CSx for better off road navigation.

My question... which is better, the 1:24 scale topo 24k Southwest DVD or the SD card?

I think from what I've been reading, is that the DVD allows you to see the topo maps on your computer while the SD card doesn't. Am I correct or do both the DVD and SD card preform the same way?

Thanks for your inputs....

What?? Nobody has a Garmin 60CSx or know anything about the topo maps that come on a DVD or SD card?

Says maps on preprogrammed microSD cards are only viewable on the GPS Unit.

Okay... thanks for your input and the link. That's the way I thought it worked from what I've been able to read on the subject.

DOn't know about the 250 - but most Garmin car units will allow loading topo as well as the street map.

I have topo - street and lake maps on mine. have a 60csx plus a Nuvi.

Get the dvd - you can install on 60 - plus the car ones.
