Just bought a 60csx - question on loading maps.

The only way to load maps to the device is via the mapsource software - So far I've dl'd 3 sets of free maps ( topo IL, topo WI, and a US roads ) - If I send one map pack at a time, the previous map pack will be deleted - if I sync the topo il map in one session, then go back to sync the Wi topo, the il map will be deleted but the wi map will be available. But via the mapsource software I can select multiple maps to sync at a time - which is what I've been doing.

The point of it all - Is there a way to keep the maps I have on the device w/out having them deleted when I send new info?

Also,

When the machine starts up it's darker than I'd like, so i adjust contrast. When I restart, the contrast is back to the factory default of too dark and I have to readjust. Is there a way to get my contrast adjustment to stick when restarting ?

i took the 1 gig out of my phone and have been playing sending maps to that :P

Updated the firmware and its supposed to let me put huge cards in ( 32 gig  )

After some internet poking the map deleting thing seems to be a standard issue =/

Wonder if the contrast thing was fixed in the firmware update...

i haven't had any problems with mine, it works better than my speedometer

:D

ie: it reads speeds that my speedometer don't go to, but then again i've only done that once and it was on an aircraft runway

hey.. i had to test the new PCM upgrade
