I got a Garmin 650 + Topo. I want to stay in the Garmin family and buy a handheld. I want to use it for meteorite and gold prospecting, geocaching and off roading. Anyone mess with the Colorado and Oregon line yet? Is the 60 series still cool? Thanks , guys. :SOMBRERO:

I'm very happy with my 60CSx for off roading. I did have to buy the topo maps as they don't come with the unit. A good thing is they have come down in price.

Here's a good review on how it operates...

Thanks, AZKJ. I have been out of the buying market for GPS until now. I like the 650 for in Jeep use but it is a little awkward walking around with a rectangle and the flap antennae extended  If I get a Garmin unit, I'll be able to use the topo program I already have :D . The 60CSx looks very interesting.
