My R-Pod Camper: Lift Kit (Pictures)

Here is a picture of the stock camper:

Here are some pics of the lift kit installed:

I don't have any showing a side by side picture of lifted and unlifted campers. The lift adds 3.75" of lift. If you look at the bottom of the camper in relation to the rim you can see the amt. of lift very well.

Will the lift be on it when you get it?
Thats going to give a lot more ground clearance, and then some larger tires!
Wonder what the bolt pattern will be? Some MOABs on it ..... :twisted:

Little bit wider fenders....We can do this before it makes it back down home! :wink:

Very tempting! Actually that is something I have been thinking about. The lift kit, they call it a axle riser, will be installed by the factory. that is how I ordered it made. The height of the tire wouldn't be a problem but the width might be. Take a look at the one picture and you won't see a lot of clearance between the tire and the camper. Matching rims and tires with the KJ would be great!

Spidertrax and wider fenders, (Jeep style that are flat on top, that way you have a place near the door to sit things) :wink:

Okay I've read through these posts and I don't see the reason for lifting a travel trailer. I mean you're not going to take it offroad are you?
Y'know now you'll have to make a longer step for the trailer to reach the ground.

I've got a trailmanor camper and wished it had the factory lit kit on it. I will never take it off road, but it would be nice to have the rear a little higher off ground as it is very easy to drag, especially if I have the tongue up a little.
Terry may go 4 wheeling and sleep out in the wilderness so yeah, he may take it off road. Plus it will match his lifted jeep and look totally cool!!! :lol:

It matches up real good to the Jeep. The reason I ordered the lift kit is because I DO intend on taking it off road. In fact, in August my locale Jeep club is going to a national forest for a weekend of camping and trail riding. Guess who will not be in a tent!

The trail back to the camp site is just that, a trail & not a road. Unlifted I would have a problem with the under carriage.

There are lots of Forest Roads and other trails that are NOT maintained, therefore having ground clearance makes a tremendous difference in where you can go.

Terry, do you have any photos? I’ve met several campers who own the R-POD and they all really like it, plus it’s easy to tow.

Yes, the intention was taking it off road. I haven't done it yet but I will be. My fresh water tank and holding tanks are exposed and are leval with the bottom of the camper. That is the biggest reason for lifting it when going off road.
