I’ll use this thread to document our trip reports of spas, rural bath houses and remote backcountry thermal pools. The purpose is to share our hot spring destinations and experiences for those of you who love them as much as we do. Even if you’re not interested in making these adventures, you might at least find this thread entertaining.
Trip 1 (Ojo Caliente)
Location: Ojo Caliente, NM

Trip Review:
This is not a crowded place during the off season or during the week days. Even though there’s really no off season for hot springs, people are less tolerant of cold weather, thus keeping the pools open. I took these photos the first day I was there and you can see that these pools were vacant. We even got a little snow one night when we were out there.
These hot springs are fantastic. I highly recommend this place for every type of person. There's plenty of hiking, backpacking, mountaineering, and sightseeing nearby. We will most certainly go back!
