I noticed that the track width of a TJ or even an XJ is shorter by 2 inches compared to the Liberty. Has anyone considered getting axles from a WJ? For those that have done or about to do the swap what have you been doing to extend the width?

I know myself and USAFCOP are using full width axles from a early Ford F-100/F-150(HP44 and 9").Something like 63-65" wide.

Not sure how my rear D44 will shake out width wise but my HPD30 front is using WJ brakes and Warn hubs which both increase track width by about 3/4" per side so it will be wider than stock and should be wider than a stock KJ front end. I hate spacers so it should be interesting to see what I have to do to widen the rear if needed.

Only going 3/4" wider each side? I'm going like 3"-4" wider perside, low and wide.Makes it much less tippy,I hate being off camber!

The front D30 will end up being about 1.25" wider per side over stock due to the Warn hubs and WJ brakes/knuckles. (3/4" wider per side than a stock KJ width) I am not interested in going full width so it will have to do. I have seen Wallys work off road on many occasions now and it has always looked stable. On road it is amazing how it handles.
Not worried.
