Well after looking around the net I'm changing my plans for the SFA swap, still doing it though my original combo of a HP44 front and 9" rear is changing.Instead I'm getting a Currie iron RockJock 60 for the rear, and save about $200 in the process.Still will have all the goodies as the 9" I was going to get,ARB airlocker,5.13 gears,35 spline chromo axles, and Wilwood disc brakes. Who knows by the time comes to rip the KJ apart I'll be installing some 2 1/2 ton Rockwells and 54" boggers |

Who knows by the time comes to rip the KJ apart I'll be installing some 2 1/2 ton Rockwells and 54" boggers I saw on Spike TV (PowerblockTV) on the show Trucks he put rockwells on an old miltary truck, He stated that theres a company in Tennessee that sell Rockwell's in any condition you want , rebuild yourself or they can refab them to your spec's. Go to powerblockTV and click on TRUCKS look at the archive and you may just find some helpfull info to help you avoid additional problems. It sounds like your trying to builde the ultimate off road KJ. I have read most of your posts and it appears you have held a wrench in your hand once or twice. I'm not trying to tell you what to do. After all you don't tell the heart surgeon how to do a by-pass So please don't think I'm telling you how to do your jod. The more knowledge you have the easier thing are. Just trying to give you some new information and sources for products. Can't wait to see your progress. |

Actually I should be still lower, going wide and low to keep the CG down, will have more flex though. And as for portals, yaeh I can get some Unimog portals real easy, don't like the gear and locker choices though,or the fact I'll have to run special 20" rims with them to.
