Post subject:  I'm most likely going to take the plunge....

I am in talks with a shop here in NY and we are discussing the whole SFA swap. It can be a one off, or there could be the possibility of this becoming a kit. If it is one off then it's easier for me because they can just do what they have to and be done with it, but if it is going to be a kit, then it will take a bit longer for them to get it done. he said that he feels better with everything being bolt in as opposed to welding because welds can break...They are more than capable of completing this task, because it is all that they do for a living. They actually build monster trucks. While we were talking about the SFA, I mentioned the V8 swap... this too is very possible. From what I gather... all of the gauges would need to be aftermarket and the truck would probably run off a standalone engine management system. I can honestly say that feel confident in going forward at this point...

This is the guys daily driver, and has been for 4 years..

yea, we are going to be talking about the specifics soon. Any tips from you guys that have gone through with it.... would help a bunch..... Wish me luck! LOL.....

Read around in this forum section and you will find a couple different versions of this project and many tips. It looks like they should easily be able to help you build whatever you can dream up. I would guess the only limit is your budget.

I'll have a price quote for a 4 link rear with both 44's front and back as well as with 60's front and back by tomorrow. :-)
