More parts to add to the pile!(updated-2/27/08)

Finally got some pics of my Currie RockJock 60.it's so pretty can't wait to get it under my KJ and beat it up.I'll have to get some pics of my AtlasII and my HP44 when it's finished being built.

Stats on RockJock:

65" WMS to WMS
35 spline axles
ARB airlocker
5.13 gears
1350 yoke
12.5" Wilwood brakes with internal parking brake
5 on 5.5 bolt pattern

Pics------

Finally got my HP44 back with the 5.13 gears and ARB installed.Oh and some of the mounts are welded on to.Man those suckers are heavy,about 300lbs as mine sits,still got to add knuckles,brakes,hubs,and axles yet,it's going to be over 500lbs alone :shock:

,but beefy,1/2" axle tubs

.

Don't mind the other HP44,just Ted's junk(that got the ARB and gears installed also).

My Crane knuckles,Crane high steer arm,new spindles,and Chevy brake calipher mounts.Yes my axles is going to have a black/orange color pattern(HEMI orange).

AtlasII t-case---4.3:1 low range,cable shifters.......

sweet, the brackets on there are they set up the way you wanted them or is it a generic set up say for a TJ or something? Just wondering if you came up on where they should go or not.

Big question how can you set and look at all of this and not start tearing into it :lol:

I would have to buy a beater car and start I am afraid.

Are you still going to use it as DD? How are those 5.13 will do on the highway?

with the tires he is using and those gears (5.13s) it should be just about perfect I would say, get close to same mileage as now, power wise he may even have a little more, will be a sweet set up! :wink:

That axle is 100% ready to bolt up to the rear of a TJ,stupid me I forgot to tell them don't weld the shock mounts on,oh well I'll just cut them off(not using them anyway).I still need to weld the caliper soft line bulkheads on then she'll get painted.

It's very hard not to want to start ripping my KJ apart,though I will have to wait till after MOAB :cry:

She sure will be a DD,those 5.13's will gain me a bunch of mpg's in town and long as I keep it under 75mph I should gain mpg's on the highway also.4.88's is the ideal ratio for 35's but I do more city driving and all the mountains around here the 5.13's will do much better with the 3.7's lack of low RPM torque.

Oh forgot to mention that RockJock only is 380lbs,the strength of a D60 but the weight of a Ford 9".

the pile seems to keep growing larger.. pretty soon it will be a pile of old parts. theres seems to be more and more SFA KJ's everyday.. and everyone seems to be doing something different.. it'll be interesting to see what set up and parts work the best.

How do you drain the oil out of it since the cover in on the top?

When it's installed the cover will still be on the back just slightly angled up. And the pinion will also be angled up toward the drive shaft so less adjustment of the control arms will be necessary to keep the pinion angle at zero to the drive shaft therefore eliminating vibration issues. All of which is designed to give more ground clearance under the center section.

Yep,it's a high pinion axle,and the rear cover is at a 60 degree angle instead of the normal 90 degree.

Looks like that thing is going to be wide just by looking at the placement of the perches! :shock:

I may of missed it but what are you doing about the speed sensor?

Yeah...like how you matched it to the color of your body paint. Cant wait to see the final pics. How much lift are you aiming for?
