A LOT OF THINKING. All I can really do sitting here in the hospital is watch some TV and think.

My dream Jeep is a Brute Truck. I want one so bad it is ridiculous. But after all that thinking I mentioned before, it just isn't practical. At all actually. It is a 2 seater, definitely not cheaper than other builds, and not really a do it yourselfer either. Which basically means not going to happen.

I want to be able to take more than just my wife or my dog off roading and that just won't happen in a Brute. Which means I am going to start saving for an SFA. I know I have been kind of against them in general and I think there are downsides to a SFA KJ but after all this thinking, it is the most realistic and actually least expensive way to go about getting a nice off road rig that will go almost anywhere I want it to.

So basically, I need to start looking more into the parts list and start collecting. I'll have to see exactly what the deal is with the Rock Lizard kit and go from there.

So I am now officially on board the SFA wagon and am looking forward to getting it going even though it is going to take a LONG time to do.

I am wanting to do 44s front and rear. I really like the JK 44s.

The 4 door JKs would cost me as much to get stock as it would to pimp out the Libby and then I'd have to build the JK up. Don't get me wrong, the JKs are really growing on me, big time, but unless they drop like crazy as used vehicles, that is also out of the question.

Start scoping out 4x4 shops for used D44's from JK's,I know there have been a few sets for sale here in Colorado for like $1000 for the set and comes complete with lockers and such with rather low miles, seen one set with less then 10 miles on them.

Yeah, that was my plan, front and year JK 44s. Since a lot of those get new axles anyways, easy and relatively cheap upgrade for an SFA swap.

Yep and start saving for the RockTrac t-case(or AtlasII),that 4:1 is so nice compared to the wimpy 2.72:1 you got now.

Yep, the goal is an Atlas II, but we'll see if I end up springing for it.

I can give you pointers on what to order if you spring for the AtlasII,will save you alot of hassle and many calls back and forth to Advance Adapters.Just to let you know though you'd be looking at about a 2-3 month wait to have one built, winter time will take longer due to most poeple are modding there rigs during the offseason.

Yeah, I am in no real hurry at all. It will be a slow gathering of the tires, axles and the t-case, then see what the Godzilla SFA kit is like and costs. I am already bugging Marty.

Does that and come in the kit? I am trying to remember what Marty posted that the buyer needed to buy after the kit. It wasn't a bunch of stuff at all, just wasn't cheap stuff.

No, axles are not included. Full width axles are recommended.

Yeah, the things I know that aren't included are the tires, wheels, axles and transfer case.

drivelines are another name for Drive Shafts........ I am well aware of the not included parts

Many people forget to include the few to several hundred dollars it can cost for a good set of drive shafts.
