Ive seen numerous pics of OHV_KJ & read his build thread. Thats the reason why I couldnt believe that shop is doing SAS projects for 6k. Thats just friggin awesome.
He'll learn after the 1st one and the price will jump way up,not that you'd get one done for anywhere close to $6000 anyways. He's only fixed one and not built one from the ground up yet.
do me a favor and after you do yours, then you might have somthing to say...
he has literaly have done mine completly over so he knows everything that needs to be redone...not trying to sell this to you all...i just really want to see more ppl wheel the liberty and it's capabilities...oh to answer that question about the bump steer, no i don't have any at all...w/ or w/out the high steer, sence it was fixed...
I know what's involved and would never do one for $6000 with parts/labor included since I'd still be in the hole by alot of $$$$.Now $4000-$6000 in labor alone is more realistic.
well hey... not everyones a crook ya now
haha just playing around. The whole deal with this is its a way to get more out of your kj. James KJ is a great rig to wheel with, its capable, simple, and to get it done right the first time its cheap compaired to others out there. They work with what the liberty has and they make it into a beast of a vehicle. Just because james didnt have f/r arb lockd d44's put in with a rubicon transfer case and titanium long arms yadayadayada doesn't mean his rig isn't kick @$#%. darn its a good friggin deal don't knock on it just because you can't beat it. Accept it as an option for people to get more potential out of there KJ's, you go and throw your 401k into your jeep, I'll pay 6-7K and have a rig thats able to conjure 99% of the terrain out here and be happy.
I gotta agree w/ this. If a local shop can at least get rid of your D30A problems and get 33's under your rig for $6k then more power to them.
It creates a decent platform to build upon/upgrade that is for sure.
fwiw, I suspect I could do the same job in my garage for less duplicating this setup so it does give options for those capable of basic fab work and welding too.
