I have parked next to 3 KJs so far, all without a camera. 1 stock and 2 lifted, most likely daystar. The ride height is quite the contrast. I'll get pictures ASAP.

I mounted up the belly skid finally. It is going to work out great and will provide a great flat surface for the jeep to slide across rocks on. I still need to see if I can figure a way to protect the front half of the underbody, from the t-case cross member forward a bit.

We are still hammering out the details of the Safari and I am not sure I'll be able to make it, but I hope to be there.

if one were to use the 8.25 like you did. is there a way to make a bracket for the UPPER control arms and mount it to where the vibration dampener/ tri-link balljoint mounts on the 8.25 pumpkin? instead of welding that bar onto the axle tubes?

and is that correct that the front HP D30 for the 95-96 cherokees are the best choices?

According to rocklizard the best ones are 97 to 99.

Making the connections to fit where the vibration dampener mounts would be a lot harder that welding on a pre-made axle truss. But if you rally wanted to, you could do it, but it would be a waste of money and effort in my opinion. We looked at adding a mount to those spots to reinforce the axle truss and it would have been a serious pain to get it exact.

Here is the rear half of the belly skid. Not sure what I will do about the front half yet.

It is made of 1/4" steel and there is some channel steel welded on top of it so it won't bend. I used 2 existing nutzert mounts from the factory skid locations, 2 of the t-case crossmember bolts, and then I added 2 more nutzerts into the new frame we added. I'm very pleased with how it came out. Especially for $35 in steel. :D

as you can see in the pics, the skids have already been tested.

I don't think I ever posted pics of the seat covers or the rear door cargo pockets I added after I bought them from a member on here. They add a ton of extra carrying capacity for tools and stuff. I love em.

Nope, I have no clue who made them or where they came from.

I googled jeep seat covers and cargo pocket seat covers and other stuff and couldn' find them. I do know Smittybilt makes some army style ones.

ooh, nice seat covers. Do you have pics of what the front looks like? I would love to know who makes them.

The seat covers are made by Rugged Ridge. They're the 'seat protectors' near the bottom of the page. I did not originally get them from this site though, it was some random parts / accessories site that I cant remember now.

http://www.ruggedridgeoffroad.com/jeep-seat-covers.php

Part#13235.37 on there, I believe.

Thanks for posting the info, and thanks for the seat covers. They worked out exactly like I hoped.

I've only done what I have already posted, but I can tell you that it works like a champ so far. It was thoroughly tested last weekend. I am looking to probably just make a front piece like the rear one that will bolt up using 2 existing skid nutzerts and then two of the transfer case cross member bolts.

I had to get my trailer weighed while getting it registered today and while I was at it, I figured I'd weigh my jeep too.

Big Black comes in at 4,970 pounds.

Inc, the mod you made to the antenna using the firestick, do you find that you have better reception when listening to am/fm radio?
