For those interested in how the gears do on and off road, the 4.88s cruise at about 2300RPMs at 70MPH, and off road they are crawl amazingly. Going up a steep hill last night, that was wet and muddy, I needed very little throttle and wasn't spinning tires. The jeep just chugged slowly and steadily up the hill in 4lo.

It does look good doesn't it? I thought about posting a dry, old looking one, so as not to make you feel bad it was only an e-cookie, but that one looked too good.

That is AWESOME brother, I'm currently saving up for the swap and shopping for axles. Gonna maybe go with a D60 front and a D70 rear. Of course there will be a lot of other upgrades w/ that. "Aint nothing to it , but to do it," is what I like to say. Went to Strawberry last Sunday and drove over the pass. Sweet, and yes w/ the TJ. I still havent wheeled the KJ since the Frankenlift. It keeps frowning @ us when we leave without her. Painted rock was a tight pinch and that trail is washed out pretty good. A little more than last year.

There was'nt alot of snow. But some patches. It was gorgeous wheeling. We didn't take alot of pics either, as we went alone. We did bump into another couple in a sick YJ from martinez. [img][/img]

I wonder if the trail is still that clear. I really want to get revenge on the boulder in the middle of the trail at the Painted Rock obstacle. I got high centered last time through and needed a tug. Shouldn't be an issue now though.
