only 55 days of leave!!!!! How have you managed to take a whole 5 days!!!!!!

I just took 9 days, and still have 72 days!!! yep that is a lot of use or loose, and my waiver for holding more leave ends this year, so I guess I will have no problem getting to MOAB and going home to go fishing for Salmon Season at Bouy 10 in the Columbia!!!!

Nice...don't forget about fly-fishin for some big ol' steelies! Although that is more this time of the year. California, Oregon, and Washington baby! Now that trout season is closed I have to fish for something right? :D

You lifers need to take some time off! I was in for 8 years, and the only time I got over 30 was when I spent a year in The Gulf/Somalia...

I took the dirty 30 when I got home, too! Anyway, I'll keep you posted.

ok, so assuming the bracketry is anywhere from $1000-$2000 how much do we think this conversion will cost all said and done?

I need axles, SYE, steering box, shocks, springs, brake lines, etc. etc. :?: :?: :?:

Edit: forgot to mention....i'd like to do the Dana 44 front and Dana 60 rear...with Chevy 3/4 ton brakes....just one question....why do different axles front and rear??? wouldn't you want them the same???

I say go work those jobs and get ready to Spend! A "kit" is in the works and I'm betting it should be dialed in and ready to buy later this year.
More details coming. Stay tuned!

Besides the "kit" i speak of, I would also like to hear more on the bracket set that Seth is workiing on. I know he is one busy guy though traveling all over the place.

Don't wait by the phone... 7 week long trips in the next 3 months. Granted, a couple of them are for some really good runs, but work is work. We probably won't cut things up until Mid summer. I'm just too damned busy. Sorry guys... gotta pay the bills.

It doesn't matter what axle you have front or rear...the gearing is all that matters and that has to be kept the same to avoid driveline bind...

You want a stronger axle in the rear for towing and load hauling.

Yea and besides, the D44 has a smaller gear housing than the D60, so there is more clearance and less of a chance of smashing the pumpkin up front 8)

OK, so what's the max tire size that can be run with say 7" of lift and a D44? It'd probably stil be a DD for a while so probably something like 33"-35" i guess???

37"? Really depends on how hard you are on driving it and what guts are in that D44 housing.

How hard would it be to add a SFA to a 4x2? Would it be about the same difficult as a 4x4 but also adding a transfer case?

If you wanted to do a SFA swap in a 2WD KJ you might as well sell it and start with another KJ that has 4WD.

Nope, a 2wd would work just fine...maybe better because you could pick your own transfer case (reads AtlasII) and not waste a stock one. Everything else is custom one off anyway!
