If he wants to build it with toothpicks and bubble gum, I don't really care, it isn't my jeep. I am surprised at some of his choices but again, not my jeep I guess. I will admit that it bugs me, even though it shouldn't, that he wouldn't reply to my questions about why he left LOST and would only say he didn't like the ethics of the people in charge here.

I hope he posts pics of it on the trails being used. It looks good from a distance anyway.

Also, those wrangler tires, I don't know that I've ever seen em. They kind of look like a hybrid BFG MT and a Super Swamper.

doesnt matter what your your excuse it, if you think its all bad then why dont you try to be nice and send him a message on Pirate and mention to him that some of the welds and parts he is using is going to hold very long, just try to help him out and not just make a bunch of stupid comments behind his back. Ever wonder why he left LOST?
Why do you think he left,he wouldn't listen about unsafe/inferior parts, and the fact he is taking short cuts to get it done in 2 weeks no matter what.

I like the ride height, not as tall as some other SFAs. Flex is important but how much is really needed. IFS has limited flex and is still quite capable, problem is weak diff.

If the SFA sat a little lower, like this one can the up travel be limited with bumpstops to keep the axle from banging the unibody? There will still be some flex more down then up. But the real good thing is solid components and Solid axle.

I like what he has done, some pieces of the build I do question myself. I would test it on a trail but I wouldn't hit the roads with it.

They look suspiciously like the Wrangler MT (I think that's what it's called)

Best pic I can find of it not knowing what it's called...guy in our local club
You can kinda make out the same tread pattern

Those particular tires came off a Humvee IIRC

If done right a very good setup.I'll be using 2 radius arms instead of one and they are the Rubicon Express ones.

The earlier Humvees used a 36x12.5x16.5 Wrangler M/T that was a civilian design that they quit selling 20 years or so ago. The ones pictured above are the later 37x12.5x16.5 Wrangler O/Z's.

Actually the 37x12.50x16.5's on a HMMWV are still GoodYear M/T's,just they are the radial version, the 36's where bias ply.The O/Z is designated for military use,the 36 bias ply tires where branded with O/Z as well.

I like it. Religious views aside, it shows that he has good ethics and cares about other people. And that is someone you want to buy stuff from.

For ThunderbirdJunkie, yes and no.

It is something that he would otherwise not want, and TBH, that is adding extra cost to the product, via shipping and the actual item.

Sure would be an expensive coaster.

ThunderbirdJunkie has no reason to believe that he has good ethics simply because he puts a Jesus video in a box with stuff...Dirk at DPG doesn't do it, and he is ethical and cares about his customers. ThunderbirdJunkie doesn't do it, and he is ethical and cares about his customers...there are many people that don't do it that are ethical and care about their customers.

TBH, ThunderbirdJunkie would be insulted to pop open a box and see a Jesus (or Vishnu, or Buddha, or anything religion-related) DVD. Hitler did that sort of thing, too, with the anti-Semitic movement with propaganda...

I personally agree, but you gotta be careful making those sort of comparisons dude.

Also, I'm kinda sorry I mentioned the video to be honest. I just wanted to point out something that I found funny and was not looking to start a debate that is totally OT.

Seriously, who cares if he sends out religious videos. End of discussion.
