if you find one that is not IFS that is not a 1995 is it would have to be a lot 80 modle and then it would be lift spring so it is not really good Idea to look in to but I will say that the cv joint in te dakota took a beating and never had any problems with them just the trany and the rear end they did not like the v8 under the hood |

Good choice of axles, just remember you can't use the OEM t-case since you will need a t-case that can accept a speedo gear to operate the speedo without the OEM rear axle.See my post about the fix--- http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=29930 |

looks like a good set of axles, what gear ratio are you going to use? what size of tires are you wanting to run? Are you doing lockers as well? |

evil libby wrote: tjkj2002 why are you wider in the front than the back don't you wont them the same ? That is the "normal" full width axle widths for 1/2 ton pickups.3/4-1ton pickups are 69" front and 67" rear WMS to WMS.

I'm going to be running alloy axles in the front,Ford inners and the Chevy Outers with the 19 splines. To switch to 30-spline outers on a HP44 you will need to use Scout parts which are big $$$$ and hard to find, you'd loose the 8-lug BP in the front also since they are only 5-lug hubs.

it is to help give you a better turning radius, and like TJKJ said it is normal on the 1/2, 3/4 and 1 ton vehicles, actually I think its like that on most all vehicles. |
