What size LP44 is that? I see he is using regular bucket springs and not coil overs.
TJ width, look at the front coils and you'll notice they are bent inwards and are hitting the unibody and that's why I'm going with full widths.

You could run coilovers on the LP44 like the guys running the hp30s couldn't you? If you wanted to go that route.

what do you mean what size? the width? 67" WMS-WMS from a Chevy 1/2

so what is the "width" of the 8.25?

58" WMS-WMS, and the HP or LP D30 would be 60" WMS-WMS

yes you would just need to cut off the leaf spring perches and weld on some coil mounts.

Not a huge coilover fan on a KJ but yes you can.

from all the pictures i've scene on here it seems like coil over front end's dont have the flex that coil/shock set ups do in wranglers/XJ/ZJ.

that TR KJ looks like its a really really good height for SFA..

I think it depends on a lot of factors, not just coilovers vs spring/shocks. I've seen both flex like crazy. Both are really effective and both work. Coilovers are awesome but expensive. Most buggy guys out there use them, go check KOH rigs. There is nothing at all wrong with a good set of RE springs though. Even a good set of leaf springs work like champs.

this XJ really amazed me with it's suspension travel.. and all it had was a RE long arm.. i hope rock lizards kit will allow for springs/shocks.. a spring/shock full width axle SFA KJ with long arms i think would be unstoppable. leaf sprung jeeps with those collapsable shackles get outstanding flex... but that's not too practical for a KJ

notice any KJ parts on it? (you can see one)

I've noticed that also, the KJ is a heavy beast and the coilover SFA's are using 450lbs/550lbs front coils, kinda stiff.I like the RE coils myself, stiff as all he!! at 1st but when broken in they give massive flex and you don't loose height but I got my JKS ACOS Pro's just incase.

They painted the bumpers on the OP one apparently, I preferred the red to the yellow. And those appear to be full widths:

I have never seen that many acronyms in that little of writing. It's like 40% capital letters.

I thought the military had a lot of acronyms, but where I work we have acronyms of acronyms and the same acronym can be used for multiple products or projects. You need a cheat sheet to sit through project reviews.

I prefer the military's approach: usually only 3 letters rarely 4 letters and you only find reuse across the different services, not in the same service.
