Back in the day when Al still owned JeepinbyAl he sold shorter lower shock mounts that you cut the originals off and then welded these on, you could use stock length shocks on a lifted KJ that way. Not sure if Marlin has them or could make them or not.

Those shock mounts were actually made by Warrior Products. He just re sold them. So if you can't get them from Marlin, there may be another distributor you can get them through.
