Still scratching my head on the roll bars.
So i continued on the rear bumper.

This afternoon I started the front bumper.
I had a couple of ideas in my head so I tried to draw them out on paper, I love the curves on the Liberty.

Image

What I draw and what I build normally ends up two different things. LOL

I may sart the rock/tree rub bar tomorrow afternoon, if I finish the front bumper.
I have the rollbar figured out I just don't want to crawl in there and get cramped up trying to weld in the awkward positions.

Thanks, Good observation. I was thinking thumbs up on the rear.
My son slipped that picture in last night. He had been playing with the plasma cutter, I knew he had welded it on and snapped a pic, but caught me off gaurd on getting it posted. No offense meant to anyone, he's just being a jokester.

I'm curious Stingn have you built a exo on the liberty? and have some pics?
It crossed my mind but way to anxious to get it finished and on the road.

I agree completely. I tried to leave room for a winch inside the trough, with some modifications from the torch and a bfh, i think it'll fit later.
Thanks!

I appreciate your input. My son was saying the same thing and I agree with both of you.
I think I'm goin to paint the chrome door trim, black.

I cut the wings off the stock plastic bumper to hang the turn signal and fill the awkward void, thats just there.

Thanks

I cut a piece of 2x3x1/8 rect tubing for a rock slider/step bar.
Im goin to leave it propped up a couple of days and see if it grows on me.

Image

Got the dom tubing bent for the halo, plates are bolted to the floor and legs are ready to tack in. Not a lot of room for much of a roll cage but a basic rollbar will make me feel safer.
I feel like the liberty body did a good job protecting my 18 year old son from injury when he crashed it. My concern is since I cut out one third of the body to be replaced it will not be as strong as it was from the factory, But it might be stronger with all the welds I put back in.
Either way I'm putting this in for ease of mind.

The CRD is coming along nicely. Looking good and still waiting on those first offroad pictures.

Anychance you can get a video of it moving, once it's done?
