I just gotta ask this. There have been two people on here make SFA's only to sell them soon after. Are there disappointing aspects to SFA's that don't cost $20,000+ to build? Are the guys that make the cheap SFA's disappointed to the point that they sell them? Just seems a bit odd to put so much work and time into your "dream KJ' only to quickly sell it... |

I love mine also but I don't need all of its space any more. I am contemplating selling mine and buying an old Mustang to trade to my son for his TJ which I will then build the crap out of including a Hemi swap, WB stretch and lots of other goodies. |

You couldn't get mine away from me,well maybe if the offer was will into the 7 figures. |

How much did you spend Neatus? I know JJs and Troy's were $20k plus. So that kind of proves the point. Obviously if you spend $20k+ you end up with a very well built, capable, top-notch rig. What I'm questioning is if the people who are building the $8-$10 SFA's are disappointed with the end result. I'll go read Neatus's thread and see how it stacks up to Inc's and OHV's. edit: Re-read Neatus's thread. Looks like he is in the latter category. It is re-assuring that he is happy with it. The reason that this is of such interst to me is that I am really flip-flopping on whether to do an SFA or just get a wrangler and maybe just steel diff the KJ. I'm confident that I could do the swap mayself, but I was hoping Marty would come out with a kit first. Getting moved into the new house is priority right now, but we should be in there this coming week. Then I'll have time and money to do whatever I decide. Even if I get a wrangler I'm keeping the KJ. |

Rescue, Me and My GF are doing the CRD SFA swap atm. We had planned to stay around 4k total. Which was totally doable even with all the extra's we had to get. But, we decide to add other parts like a D44 with ARB, a new T-case with SYE, and heavy metal for stiffeners and bigger joints on the long arms. Also some work to heavy duty skid plates. We are still only going to fall around 6k to 7k total. |

The only reason I have so much in mine was I splurged for some higher end parts and got most of the "future" upgrading done from the start. The biggest costs were swapping in a non-KJ rear axle and the Atlas.Thank goodness labor was pretty cheap.I know USAFCOP's SFA will be about 1/2 the cost of mine. |

Looking forward to seeing what the kit costs... Wish we could get a rough estimate because I am weeks away from buying a wrangler... Closing on the house Tuesday... |
