So I'm starting my SFA collection. I found a D44 from a 78' Bronco Going to check it out tomorrow. It has everything even all the Steering linkage. It needs some work but hey I'm going to put a selectable locker in anyway. What Steering box do I want again? Ford truck? I remember TJKJ saying something about using a f-350 steering arm as well.

After reading around a little.... I learned after 78' some HP44's from fords won't work due to cast perches. I'm going to see this anyway fingers crossed that its got welded on perches. It's from a 78' or 79' Bronco

No.

Need a '90-'91 F150/F250/F350 box(non-HD),BroncoII, or the E150/E250/E350 through '95(If I remember) are all the same box and the one you need.

Ok so I have everything at this point except a spring setup I think I'm going to go with a set of FOA's the project hopefully gets off the ground at the end of february. What length of Coil over am I looking at? Also what Spring rates are you guys running on the Main and Tender? I don't have a place to corner weight my KJ to fins out what I should run for rates. My build will revolve around a Dana 30Hp and a four Link similar to that of a Grand Cherokee. We where going to mimic a Grand Style front suspension completely but I've decided on the Coil Overs.

Also I want to keep my 8.25" for now So besides me changing out the Y-Link for a 4-Link and using some longer Control Arms what is the easy way to level the rear with the front? Some one said I might be able to just throw in some V-8 Grand front springs they seem fairly close Diameter wise to the rears that are currently there.

with as high as you will need to go in the front to clear the axle and oil pan, you will need longer arms in the rear, not just springs. YOu will also need longer driveline for the much hieght in the rear as well to avoid vibration and binding. As for spring rate on the coil overs, I do not know, as we are using coils all around due to full width axles.

The front will be a 30HP for now.

good luck on the front coilovers and getting the front to align. We had issues with it, which is the reason we are now moving to full widths.

using a d30hp and coil over's, we couldn't get the coil overs kicked out enough so that when the axle was getting centered under the jeep, it keep hitting the strut pockets on the body. Also it does not give the right angle for the CO's to travel without bind

I don't know. I do know that it has worked with others. But, With the CRD I believe the front strut pockets are smaller. Which gives up are problem I believe. Gonna fix it soon with some Tube coil over brackets lol.
